Luxurious ensuite bathroom in Esher
Our clients came to us with their small ensuite bathroom project in Esher. The layout of the bathroom worked well, although the shower area seemed unloved and the bathroom felt a little lifeless. To create a luxurious spa quality feel we used natural and toned down colours on the floor and walls (tiles by Porcelanosa); with a contrasting wood effect tile for the wetroom area. To add a stylish feel, we used luxurious black finishes on the brassware and the elegant floor standing bath mixer. We removed the large box cupboards at the end of the shower to open the space to create an eye-catching and welcoming area. Added touches such as a recessed shelf enabled us to create mood lighting as well as providing a practical feature.
The wall hung basin unit creates storage and with hidden lighting under the basin, we allowed for low lighting for night-time trips to the bathroom. The dark unit finish ties with the black finish on the basin & bath mixers as well as the trim on the Matki shower screen, tying the room together.

By tiling in place of the pink painted walls, we were able to create an elegant and natural feel to the bathroom. The mottled tiles compliment the black finish of the taps, basin unit doors and the bath cushions. Creating a harmonious look throughout the space.
We removed the two tall units that sat at the end of the shower cubicle. This allowed room for an open ended wetroom finished with a single glass shower screen edged in black trim to tie in with the taps. Creating a spacious showering experience and opening up the room. The loss of storage was answered by installing a double wall-hung basin unit.
We created a recessed shelf for the shower area – giving space for shower items without the need for corner baskets – helping to keep a spa quality to the design. This is also perfect for recessed lights to be added which allow for mood lighting. The floor and end wall are tiled with wood effect tiles enhancing the natural feel of the design.
