Elegant Master Ensuite Shower Room in Kingston
Our client came to us looking to replace their leaking ensuite shower. However, after visiting the high end bathroom showroom and seeing the elegant possibilities and quality of products available, our clients went ahead with a full design and installation project.
We widened the shower area by taking away part of the wall that housed a cupboard, along with the boxing above the shower. We also added recessed shelves allowing for clever lighting to make a feature that would have been a dark area.
Our clients’ existing ceramic deck mounted basin, along with the mirror cabinet and chrome wall mounted tap were in excellent condition. Therefore, we incorporated these pieces within the design. Tweaking the colour of the mirror cabinet to match the Vanity Hall unit that the basin sits on.
Using a muted colour palette enhanced with splashes of subtle tones with the mosaics, creates an elegant and timeless design.

Within the shower area we created two recessed shelves with mosaics tiles and silver trim. Highlighting this feature with hidden lighting, giving the bathroom an elegant spa quality.
We used a bespoke Corian solid surface worktop for the existing ceramic basin to be mounted on – adding a luxurious feel. Our in-house fitter also made, by hand, the skirting board that flows around the room. This was to match the rest of the skirting in the house.
After widening the shower area and removing the built in cupboard that housed pipes, we opened what once was a dark and uninviting space. We also added an illusion of height to the room as the area is no longer built in. Replacing the small square floor tiles with wood effect tiles that are long, also creates a sense of space.
