Spacious wetroom with bath in Thames Ditton

  • Location Thames Ditton
  • Timescale 4 Weeks

Our clients came to us wanting a spacious wetroom, while keeping a bath and double basin as they had in their previous bathroom. They were after a bespoke look with an industrial feel. Therefore, our wetroom installers used concrete effect tiles from Porcelanosa and Matki’s ONE shower screen to enhance the desired effect. To create a more bespoke feel we used Nickle finishes on the brassware and used freestanding bath tap by AXOR.

To incorporate a large wetroom, we moved the shower to the opposite side of the room. Due to a concrete floor, we added a step to house the bath waste and wetroom tank. Making a feature of this with lights and silver trim enhancing the industrial feel.

We added a recessed shelf running the width of the room. This allowed for downlights to create mood lighting. Finishing the recess with tactile elongated three toned mosaics to add a contrast to the smooth concrete effect tiles. Perfect to put stylish bottles keeping the wetroom area clutter free.

By moving the bath under the window we created a stylish focal point. The WC is now hidden from the door and no longer the first thing you see when entering the room. Adding a shelf under the double basin unit creates extra stylish storage for towels, as does the double door mirror unit.
