Colonial bathroom in Weybridge
This colonial feel bathroom was inspired by use of different textures. From the Colonial Lexington tiles to the titanium metal Hexagon mosaics, both by Porcelanosa. Dark calm tones are used throughout, with granite coloured paint tying the matt black basin unit from Dansani and the brushed black brassware together.
The awkward shape at the end of the room, allowed for extra storage. While creating ambient lighting around the built in mirror cabinet. A soft grey paint colour with a hint of green, by Farrow & Ball adds an interesting element to the design.
Lighting plays a big part, in creating the right feel for a room. As this is a place to relax and unwind, we used several different elements to create the Colonial feel. Recessed lighting under the basin and around the mirror cabinet add a soft haze. While the ceiling spot lights are practical as dotted around the room. Two pendant lights in matt black finish hang either side of the free standing bath, giving a low level light and a sense of drama.
The illusion of space in the room is credited to the wall mounted basin and the curve of the bath – Viado by BC Designs.

Using colonial Lexington tiles from Porcelanosa adds warmth, off setting the black pendant lights to add drama.
Brushed black brassware complements the grey glass washbasin and titanium hexagon mosaics.
The brushed black single bath lever looks sleek against the colonial wall tiles, and the round bath filler create a fuss free design.
