Tranquil Master en-suite in Weybridge
This Tranquil Master en-suite in Weybridge started life as a dated space with a lot of boxed in features, making the space feel enclosed. The WC and basin were part of an L shaped unit with built in cupboards.
Our client had desires to open up the space and expressed they didn’t require as much storage they currently had. This gave us scope to open the space up and build out walls to have stylish and practical recessed shelving.
Despite keeping the key components in the same place – such as the WC, basin and shower area. We made the room feel spacious by introducing wall hung furniture – which shows off more of the floor, tricking the brain into believing there is more space. We built a stud wall within the shower area and the other side of the basin; creating a zone for the basin while the recessed shelving offers storage. This offers a place to put in contrasting tiles to create a feature.
Our client was looking for a warm luxurious décor. To achieve this we used a beautiful mosaic tile from Minoli as a feature behind the basin which matched the concrete tone of the plainer tiles on the rest of the walls. Giving a feel of continuity but injected an interesting contrast at the same time. Following on this theme, we used matching darker colour scheme of the floor tiles in the recesses. A warm white spotlight was added to highlight the beautiful feature.
Black accents finished off this tranquil master en- suite bathroom in Weybridge, with brassware from Vado, the black framed mirror and black glass shelf from Bathroom Origins and finally the black towel radiator from Bisque.

The process
Bathroom Eleven designed and fitted our en-suite bathroom, and managed to create a beautiful spacious bathroom from what was a small crammed area. From start to finish the service has been extremely professional, with detailed mood boards and plenty of visuals to assist throughout the project, a very hands on service. The talented team specialise in custom designed bespoke bathrooms, tailored to your needs with plenty of inspiration. Their attention to detail and finish has been great, and they were able to also assist with some additional master bedroom work for us which was an added bonus. I’d highly recommend Bathroom Eleven and look forward to working with the team again on other bathroom projects in the future.
We finished the detail with trimmed chrome edging around the recessed shelves, pulling colour from the grout within the dark tiles.
Building a stud wall allows for stylish recessed storage within the shower area, allowing for easy access to showing items and adding a plant and accessories.
Adding contrasting colours and shapes will make an interesting feature of walls and areas within a space.
